Timekeeping Specialist
Description We are looking for a dedicated Timekeeping Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll and timekeeping processes. This position requires a strong focus on customer service and an ability to navigate complex systems and policies effectively. This will be a contract role starting late September and running through end of January. Responsibilities: • Manage assigned tasks and inquiries, providing timely responses to employees, managers, HR teams, and external stakeholders while adhering to company policies. • Reference knowledge articles and apply established procedures to address inquiries accurately and efficiently. • Educate employees and managers on self-service tools and resources to enhance their understanding and resolve issues independently. • Utilize various systems, including Workday and SharePoint, to gather information and respond appropriately within policy guidelines. • Escalate complex situations that fall outside standard procedures to ensure effective resolution. • Analyze employee feedback to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance overall satisfaction. • Ensure compliance with labor policies and federal and state wage and hour laws while performing calculations and data entry. • Collaborate with team members to achieve consensus and support smooth workflow processes. • Conduct audits and reviews to maintain accuracy and compliance in payroll and timekeeping functions. Requirements • Previous experience in payroll or timekeeping within a corporate call center or customer service environment. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently to drive productivity and efficiency. • Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to handle inquiries in a detail-oriented manner. • Analytical skills to investigate and resolve complex issues effectively. • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. • Proficiency in systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and CRM tools. • Knowledge of labor policies and wage laws, with experience in auditing and compliance processes. • Ability to collaborate in team settings and contribute to shared goals.
