Time Management Specialist
Description Our client is looking for a Time Management Specialist to join their team in The Woodlands, Texas, as part of a long-term contract to hire opportunity within the Oil and Gas industry. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a diverse workforce, leveraging your expertise in timekeeping, data analysis, and payroll systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and skilled at handling confidential information with professionalism. Responsibilities: • Maintain a Center of Excellence focused on US Dollar timekeeping and standardizing work schedules, wage codes, pay practices, and shift relief policies. • Administer and document site pay policies, including procedures for salaried exempt and non-exempt time entry, while identifying opportunities for standardization. • Perform audits related to time entry compliance, ensuring adherence to payroll policies, site practices, and relevant laws, and provide recommendations for improvement. • Process schedule deviations such as off-site training attendance and prior period adjustments, conducting necessary research and validation. • Act as the primary contact between site HR, Corporate HR Payroll, and other departments to resolve timekeeping-related issues with expert consultation. • Coordinate annual audits related to timekeeping and participate in system release testing for end users. • Review and evaluate requests for new work schedules, providing approvals or recommendations as needed. • Lead or contribute to timekeeping-related technology projects to enhance processes and systems. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll or timekeeping for a large workforce. • High school diploma or equivalent education. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. • Proven ability to analyze data and resolve problems effectively. • Experience with full-cycle payroll and multi-state payroll operations. • Familiarity with SAP and SAP SuccessFactors HCM platforms is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information professionally.
