To learn more about our values and our culture, visit Timberland Careers (https://www.timberland.com/en-us/about-us/careers) or www.timberland.com. **Copywriter, eCommerce (Global Timberland)** **Overview:** As the eCommerce Copywriter for Timberland, reporting to the Senior Manager of Project Management, you will lead the development of seasonal product copy for up to 3,000 SKUs across Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories. You’ll collaborate closely with external copywriting partners to write and review product descriptions, ensuring alignment with brand tone, sustainability messaging, and performance claims. You’ll work cross-functionally with Brand, Product, Legal, and Marketing teams to stay informed on strategy, technologies, and global communication guidelines. Your role will also involve managing regional nuances, SEO optimization, and supporting marketing toolkit development. **Key Responsibilities:** + Develop and maintain seasonal copy style guides and naming conventions. + Write and proof compelling product descriptions for eCommerce and marketing toolkits. + Review and approve copy from external partners for tone, accuracy, and brand alignment. + Collaborate with regional eCommerce teams and report weekly status updates. + Attend seasonal product sessions to stay informed on new launches. + Manage the Technology Master database for marketing. + Coordinate legal reviews and ensure compliance. + Monitor live product copy for consistency and quality. + Partner with VF’s AI team on copy-related initiatives. + Support SEO efforts by integrating keywords and metadata. **What You’ll Do:** + Craft unique, consumer-facing product descriptions. + Maintain and evolve the product copywriting style guide. + Ensure all content is SEO-optimized and aligned with brand voice. + Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure consistency and accuracy. + Proof marketing materials and campaign assets. **How You’ll Do It:** + Stay current on industry trends, consumer behavior, and technology. + Adapt tone and messaging to resonate with diverse audiences. + Communicate product features, benefits, and technologies clearly. + Apply strong grammar, spelling, and structure across all content. + Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills. **What You’ll Need to Succeed:** + 3–5 years of copywriting and proofreading experience, preferably in eCommerce. + Strong command of SEO principles and eCommerce best practices. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and CMS platforms. + Familiarity with Google Analytics and other analytical tools. + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. + Exceptional writing skills with attention to detail. + A collaborative mindset and problem-solving ability. + Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required). **What do we offer you?** At Timberland, we know you expect as much from us as we do from you.
