Position Overview:

Support the work of the department in the areas of problem solving, continuous improvement, leadership, ensure production attainment, coaching/training, and   efficiencies. Ensure a safe and healthy environment is maintained. Team Lead must be accessible to the production team 95% of the time.

Essential Functions:

Plan daily labor assignments based on departmental needsAdhere to the highest quality standards and be responsible for quality inspections for the manufacturing process.Provide first response to Equipment and Parts issues/concerns.Work with teams to assure quality products and follow documented work instructions.Monitors and maintains 5S in their assigned areas.Supports staff while Supervisor is out.Understands and supports safety policies, initiatives, and training programs.Ability to locate and use the HazCom labels and MSDS information.Be a continuous learner and leaderProvide performance feedback to supervisor (good or bad)Support attainment of the four main metrics (safety, quality, delivery, productivity/people) Understand results & support supervisor action plans.Work with leaders in upstream and downstream processes to achieve metrics -partner with peers to resolve production and quality issues.Assist with safety of team and safety compliance to include PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, conducting safety audits, correcting unsafe behaviors & conditions.

Required Qualifications:

One year manufacturing experienceMust have strong leadership and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Must have computer, math and reading proficiency.Manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changeWork overtime as needed to complete daily tasks or projectsMust be able to read drawings and specifications.High School Diploma or equivalentSuccessfully adheres to and models Brunswick’s Employee Value Proposition and values (Innovative, Driven, exceptional. Authentic and United)Ability to work with confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality.Oher duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalentLeadership training preferred.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, see, sit, and use arms, hands, and fingers.The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, balance, and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp, and move a variety of materials.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The noise level is moderate to high in the manufacturing setting.

The anticipated pay range for this position ranges grade 6 $23.90- $27.00. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. 

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
