See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:** Position Overview: As part of the talented **Thunder Jet Quality Technician** is to provide efficient product flow throughout the manufacturing process in a manner that ensures all products meet internal specifications for quality and established standards. Ensure inspection guidelines are followed in a consistent manner to safeguard end-customer’s satisfaction, company reputation, and the safety of all stakeholders. **At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.** Essential Functions (https://bconline.sharepoint.com/sites/JDRefreshProjectTeam/Shared%20Documents/General/Essential%20Functions%20-%20ADA%20Compliant.pdf) : + Performs routine and department-specific quality inspection, auditing throughout the plant in a standardized, efficient, and repeatable manner. + Provide on the ground support for investigating quality issues, escalating problems when needed and recommendations for improvements or product dispositions. + Provide training to others to Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for quality processes. Work with each department on establishing standard deviations of defects. + Serves as a gatekeeper for customer satisfaction and a quality leader in the facility. + Responsibly of monthly quality meetings with all department heads. + Monitor and record departmental check-off sheets. + Ability to perform independently as well as in a team role, possess good organizational skills and ability to ensure quality efforts are trackable. + Walk 100% of boats for final QA check and track defects + Actively participate in and work in a safe manner. + Work overtime as required. + Other duties as assigned. **Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.** Required Qualifications: + Must be able to read drawings and specifications + Must have solid mechanical skills, utilize basic math and reading skills, ability to utilize hand and power tools. + Must have computer, math and reading proficiency and ability to use databases. + Ability to receive and follow instruction + Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. + Manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to change with attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: + NMMA Certification preferred with the ability to become fully certified within 24 months after hire, including 14 modules + ASQ Certified Quality Inspector preferred + Proficient in full manufacturing inspection process Production Training: + Participate in phases of new product development, especially Concept Development, Design Validation and Production Process Validation. + Work with departmental heads on documentation. + Support quality training for new employees and ensure process changes are implemented correctly. + Support process improvement efforts. + Support the Product Development Supervisor product safety. Education Background **:** + Two years or relevant experience in Quality Assurance and/or Manufacturing or Engineering + Direct experience and knowledge of how to solve problems at their root, specifically as is related to quality + Knowledge of various plant processes to identify the causes of problems with product quality as well as potential concerns during product launches Skills + Excellent organizational skills + Positive attitude and team player + Demonstrate drive for continuous learning and development + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to interact with diverse groups of people to create an environment that is equitable, inclusive and cooperative. + Experience with computer system programs The anticipated pay range for this position is Grade 6, ($23.91- $25.50) per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
