**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
+ 4 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
+ Experience in server infrastructure category or commodity management, contract negotiation and supplier development.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ MBA or Master's degree in a technical or engineering field.
+ Experience with data center thermal management commodities.
+ Experience in thermal management from infrastructure to chip including next generation cooling technologies, materials, components and solutions.
+ Experience with PLx Dashboarding.
+ Excellent leadership, management, decision-making and problem-solving skills with outstanding business acumen.
Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.
As a Thermal Commodity Manager, you will play a critical role in strategically managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials at the best possible cost. This position requires a solid combination of technical knowledge, discussion skills, and the ability to co-lead cross-functional teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. **Responsibilities:**
+ Partner with colleagues to conduct discussion and secure comprehensive agreements with supplier executives.
+ Maintain a high level of industry expertise and supplier/market conditions through research and convey market research for all Data Center thermal solutions.
+ Manage supplier performance in cost, quality, delivery and technology alignment through weekly meetings and scorecard reviews.
+ Focus on material management, shortages, and CTB activities serving as an escalation point between internal partner teams and suppliers.
+ Architect and develop dashboards and processes for measuring our key metrics.
