**Description** **Applications may be submitted via Interfolio at any time, with reviews taking place each spring.** Applications are invited for the Mark Stehlik Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. This is a high-profile, one-year position, with a possibility of renewal for a second year. We seek recent Ph.D. recipients in computer science or a related field with a strong interest, and demonstrated promise in teaching, who would like to gain teaching experience in a vibrant environment with a dynamic curriculum and excellent students. To apply candidates should submit: + Cover letter + The cover letter should indicate which department(s) the candidate believes they would be a good fit for. + CV + NOTE: Candidates will need to have completed their Ph.D. before they start the teaching fellowship. + Statement of Teaching + It is not expected that candidates have experience teaching, but they should have a strong interest, and display some evidence of promise in teaching. Additionally, candidates should explicitly discuss which department(s) are a good fit for their preparation and interests. + Broader Impact Statement + Candidates should describe how they plan to support students. They may also wish to describe additional ways they would like to support the learning of students beyond the traditional classroom. In this statement you might consider telling us about unique curriculum design, or your own personal background, or how you broaden the distribution of your research results beyond traditional audiences. We are interested in learning anything you wish to share about you or your work that demonstrates the potential to broaden participation in computer science, or more generally benefit CMU and society. + The names and email addresses of three or more individuals who have been asked to provide letters of reference + (Optional) Research Statement + Note: the research statement is helpful but not required.
