About the Office of Admissions The Office of Admissions, located in the Division of Enrollment and Access, is tasked with enrolling an incoming student body consistent with the mission and vision of access, research, teaching, service and engagement at Colorado State University. Admissions is responsible for coordinating enrollment efforts across the university related to inclusive recruitment and counseling, marketing, application, strategy, and technical support functions for most prospective students. With over 50 full-time staff and an additional 60 student employees, duties range from marketing and communication, prospective student events, application processing and decisions, enrollment strategy, recruitment and outreach, customer service, systems support and data analytics. Through innovative and strategic approaches, Admissions strives to balance its growth in attracting an increasingly diverse and well-prepared student body while remaining true to its land-grant mission and heritage. We employ a holistic, comprehensive review process to select new undergraduates, not only in light of their preparation, but their potential to successfully contribute to the campus and world community. About the Work Unit The Recruitment Team consists of the Director of Recruitment, a Senior Assistant Director of Transfer Initiatives, and four Assistant Directors – Resident, Non-Resident, Access and Denver Recruitment, and their respective counseling teams who work to assist students in accessing their higher education goals. Position Summary The Texas Regional Representative will be responsible for foundational admissions and enrollment management-related activities in Texas and Oklahoma, as well as additional travel and non-travel territory management duties.The Regional Rep will be based in either the Austin or Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan areas. This position is responsible for the recruiting and outreach efforts to prospective and admitted freshmen and transfer students by conducting high school and community college visits, attending college fairs, and hosting CSU specific events to both inform prospects and applicants and yield admitted students. Required Job Qualifications + A Bachelor’s Degree + At least one year of admissions, college counseling, or B2C sales experience. + Two years of customer service experience + Demonstrated presentation and public speaking skills + Able to work irregular work hours, including nights and weekends + Must have a valid Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one or have access to a licensed driver at the time of appointment. + An understanding of the Land Grant Mission of Colorado State University + Demonstrated success working independently in a professional role + Experience working with various populations + Experience using a Customer Relations Management system Preferred Job Qualifications Essential Duties Job Duty CategoryRecruitment and Counseling Duty/Responsibility + Help prospective freshmen and transfer students from TX and OK see their path to and through Colorado State University (territories beyond TX and OK may be added, and are subject to change based on University enrollment goals.) + Counsel prospective freshmen and transfer applicants and their families/advocates through the admissions process, including application generation and completion initiatives, and assisting students in planning their path to CSU . + Respond to phone and email inquiries + Participate in year-round recruitment travel, representing CSU at events such as high school or community college visits, college fairs, one-on-one appointments, information sessions, or other recruitment events. + Conduct a variety of presentations—both in-person and online—to prospective students and their families about Colorado State University. This could range from 100-150 presentations per year. The Regional Representative will decide which presentation to use and the pieces of information to include, depending on the audience and type of program/event. + Application of integrity, inclusion, respect, service, and social justice in all parts of recruitment for CSU .
