Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Business Line Quality Assurance (BLQA) Manager responsible for managing a team of BLQA testers responsible for the execution of quality assurance testing activities.  The BLQA Manager will oversee day-to-day BLQA responsibilities and coach team members to enable program integrity and execution. The BLQA Lead plays an important role in risk management by ensuring controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively to mitigate the identified risks.

In meeting these objectives, the BLQA Manager will be responsible for directly supervising the performance of BLQA testing team members to work against program criteria. More specifically, the Lead will:

Ensure QA Programs/Procedures are executed according to the corporate Business Line Quality Assurance PolicyLead or perform process inquiries, walkthroughs and procedure review to support the development/design of QA test work papers, where necessaryLead analysis of transaction handling or control performance against defined policies, guidelines or lawsOversee QA tests, analyze evidence of transaction handling or control performance against defined policies, guidelines or lawsOwn and approve the accuracy of analyst(s) test work papers, verify and measure the quality of staff conclusionsMonitor key risk indicators and emerging risks to identify potential edits or updates for existing test scripts/proceduresLead test result discussions with business line management and risk partners related to identified exceptions/issues, criteria used to define expected results, root cause assessment, exposure assessment, and actions needed/recommendedProduce reporting for management review and distributionUtilize effective verbal communication of testing results to the BLQA Manager and for responding to and/or escalating significant risks as appropriateOther deliverables as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experienceTypically seven to ten years of applicable experience

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
