Team Overview:

Markets Quantitative Analysis Department (MQA) is a division of the Global Markets business and has responsibility for providing the analytical models which are used for pricing securities and risk managing the Firm’s positions throughout the Markets’ businesses. The scope of this work extends from the research into the mathematical derivation of the model, through the coding, testing, and documentation of the model for formal validation and approval, and finally to delivering the model both to the desktop and to Technology for incorporation into the Firm’s books and records systems. MQA’s responsibilities span the G10 Rates, Local Markets, Credit, Commodities, FX, Equity, Equity Hybrids and Mortgage/Securitized markets businesses.

The MQA Centre of Excellence is an integral part of the global structure of the department and plays a key role in the development of the core tools, processes and analytics.

Role overview:

The role will be to join the Release Management team in Budapest and work on the regular activities of analytics libraries to help meet the current and projected demands from the business.

MQA produces several analytics libraries across a range of asset classes which need to be released on a regular basis to users within Markets. This role will extend the current Release Management team to cover the existing and onboard additional asset classes.

What you will do:

Support the validation and verification of production releases (Equities)

Monitoring software release lifecycle and following up on failures with development teams

Releasing weekly and ad-hoc version of the analytical libraries to global locations for user acceptance test

Recording, tracking and assisting with user enquiries to the group

Developing and enhancing tools / processes (Python, TeamCity)

Working with other members of the global MQA and Tech teams to share best practices for testing and releases

What we will need from you:

Technical knowledge of the following: Python, GIT / other Version Control System, Linux / Windows, Databases / SQL, Atlassian JIRA / Bitbucket

Understanding of continuous integration systems

Experience with complex software development lifecycle management (software builds / tests / sign off / release flow)

2-5 years of experience in software project management / release management role

ISTQB Foundation level certificate would be an advantage

Proven attention to detail, interest in project coordination and technical release management

Ability to follow procedures and operate within strict guidelines, while creating and updating relevant documentation

Ability to take ownership and proactive follow up

Ability to work in a team and to work well under pressure in a Front-Office environment
