What your day to day will look like?

Performs work according to specific assembly and test work instructions giving necessary attention to the use and care of equipment, tools and safe working practicesEnsures assembled parts and details meet fits, clearances, backlash and other specified requirements, that all checks are carried out and that records are kept of specific functional dimensions at assembly, test and strip (disassembly)Ensures that quality and integrity of product is maintained at all timesExecutes engine test according to Test instructionsDocuments build, test or strip (disassembly) activities to ensure smooth workflow and coordination between shiftsCoordinates with Engineering staff and support groups for successful completion of the build and execution of the test, and engine disassembly afterwardsAssists in troubleshooting during assembly, test or disassembly of enginesContributes to FOD prevention, continuous improvement and EH&S (Environnent, Health & Safety) culturesShift work required (4 weeks days, 2 weeks nights on rotation), alternate shifts may be required at times

The tools you need to be successful     

High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of technical college in aircraft tradesMinimum 2 years of experience in the aircraft field preferredAwareness of EH&S and continuous improvement (an asset)Must be detail and result orientedMust possess a good capacity for teamworkMust possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and be able to problem solve effectivelyMust display drive and initiativeCandidate must be fluent in written and spoken English
