This Position reports to:

In Albuquerque we manufacture underground cable connections and accessories for the electrical distribution grid as well as fault circuit indicators and current sensors. Our industry leading Elastimold and Fisher Pierce products are used to connect, ground, splice, terminate, and protect underground power cables. Products manufactured in Albuquerque are integral connective pieces of a resilient power grid.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct testing and inspections during the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Each day, you will execute the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and report any non-compliance.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Responsible for conducting a range of quality control tests and analysis to ensure all application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements.

Responsible for all aspects of testing product to standards, i.e. work instructions, S.O.P’s, and revision control.

Ensures quality operation of the process, performs quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance

Maintains pre-determined efficiency, standards, and productivity rates

Qualifications for the role

High School diploma/GED required

Prior manufacturing experience not required

Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions

Can work up to 20 hours of overtime to meet Business Objectives
