Job Title: Test Technician - Intrusion

Job Description

We are seeking a Test Technician specializing in vehicle intrusion testing. This role involves supporting two key testing groups: the ceiling/splash group, which focuses on airflow and seal integrity, and the Vehicle Handling Facility group, which measures suspension articulation and vehicle center of gravity. The technician will engage in comprehensive vehicle testing, including dust and water intrusion assessments, on a wide range of vehicles, including high-value models.

ResponsibilitiesConduct vehicle intrusion tests to identify seal failures or body leaks.Operate airflow machines and analyze static body pressure.Perform dust and water intrusion tests using specialized equipment.Collaborate with engineering teams during Friday team meetings.Interact with lead development engineers to receive task instructions.Work on vehicles produced by the company and competitor vehicles.Ensure test equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience working on vehicles in dealerships, independent shops, or similar environments.Strong mechanical ability and experience with interior and suspension work.Effective communication skills for team interaction.Proficiency in time management to meet project deadlines.Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent educational experience.Experience in handling test equipment and performing mechanical diagnostics.Ability to adapt to testing procedures for various vehicle types.Work Environment

The position operates in single shift operations within a garage setting, interacting closely with engineering teams and suppliers. The work involves exposure to different vehicle types, including high-value models, and requires attention to detail in identifying intrusion points. The facility is equipped with specialized testing rigs and equipment, ensuring comprehensive vehicle assessments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
