Test Technician
Job Title: Test TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Test Technician to plan, build, conduct, and monitor both standard and complex tests. This role involves developing automated accelerated system and component endurance tests, assisting in the design and assembly of new automated test fixtures, and improving existing ones. You will maintain accurate test records and monitor active testing for signs of failure or problems, applying various instrumentation such as strain gauges, pressure transducers, thermocouples, flow sensors, and load cells. Communication of test results to Test Engineers and Test Requestors using basic statistical and graphical methods is essential. Responsibilities + Plan, build, conduct, and monitor all standard and complex tests. + Develop automated accelerated system and component endurance tests. + Assist in design and assembly of new automated test fixtures, and repair and improve existing ones. + Maintain accurate test records to enhance current test processes and quality. + Monitor active testing for signs of failure or problems. + Apply various instrumentation such as strain gauges, pressure transducers, thermocouples, flow sensors, and load cells. + Document and communicate test results to Test Engineers and Test Requestors using basic statistical and graphical methods. Essential Skills + Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work or hobbies. + 6+ months experience in test or related work in automotive, engineering, or manufacturing. + Experience installing and monitoring various instrumentation. + AAS or diploma with relevant working experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate of Science degree in a technical or related engineering field preferred. + Previous experience in a test environment is advantageous. + Experience with HALT chambers is highly desired. + Attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic are crucial. Work Environment The position offers a flexible 1st shift schedule, with the regular test team working from early to late, ensuring coverage throughout most of the day. The role is open due to a cost-driving initiative affecting multiple areas. You will support the setup and execution of approximately 50 active tests. This opportunity is a foot-in-the-door with a leader in autonomous cleaning equipment and scrubbers, offering a six-month assignment with potential for extension.
