The Test Technician is responsible for Fisher instrument product certification testing for hazardous locations. This product testing role provides a key interface between product development, test engineering, certification engineering, and third-party approvals agencies. This role requires an individual who is diligent and has excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate results and observations to the certification team. The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Assembles components and products according to work instructions. Establishes test setups according to requirements. Schedules and carries out product certification tests and measurements, in accordance with technical drawings and test procedures. Writes compliance reports to document test results with respect to the hazardous locations approval standards. Regularly communicates progress via written and oral means to team members and other stakeholders. Collaborates with peers and other departments to ensure that the products and documents align with established procedures and internal and external standards. Maintains the calibration log for all inspection tools and ensure timely calibration of equipment. Keeps the working areas free of hazards and report all issues following company EHS procedure. Reviews, analyze, and understand changes to procedures and standards associated with our products. Supports audits of the safety program by external entities.For This Role You Will Need
Mechanical or Electrical Vocational training, preferably with corresponding further qualification in electrical engineering environment Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, industry standards, and technical documents. Experience with Mechanical and Electrical assembly Good knowledge of PC software such as MS Office Familiarity with standards, procedures and general product specifications as they relate to product testing Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role.Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
