Job Description

We are seeking a Test Technician with a experience as a Navy Fire Controls Technician, specifically with hands-on experience in the Navy's AN/BYG-1 Tactical Control System (TCS), to contribute to building the Submarine Combat System for the United States Navy (USN) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Submarine fleet. The role involves working with a dedicated team passionate about delivering high-quality products to the Navy, enabling them to perform critical national security missions.

ResponsibilitiesConduct subsystem and system-of-systems testing on black boxes at various locations.Collaborate in an Agile environment with engineers across the program to verify deliveries to the Navy.Analyze how software meets system, functional, and performance requirements.Install test bays and troubleshoot anomalies.Communicate and proactively resolve issues with engineers from other subsystems.Essential SkillsHands-on experience with the Navy's AN/BYG-1 Tactical Control Systems.Experience testing in an Agile development environment.US Navy Submarine Fire Control Technician experience.Knowledge of test engineering concepts.Subsystem testing and troubleshooting expertise.Solid verbal and written communication skills using Microsoft Office products.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in the SWFTS submarine community.Ability to work proactively with local and remote test team members.Recognition of relevant information and clear communication of issues and alternatives.Ability to travel.Experience with requirements management and system modeling.Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite with rare chances of travel to shipyards in locations such as Virginia Beach and Rhode Island. The work is conducted in a collaborative environment at the headquarters site in Manassas, where 150 people are part of the program.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
