Test Manager
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Leading the functional, regression, performance, and integration testing process. + Defining and implementing strategies and approaches to ensure comprehensive testing including process automation and integration with other systems. + Coordinating the management of defects, ensuring that they are accurately reported, tracked, and resolved. + Establishing test objectives, detailed test plans, and acceptance criteria for features being delivered within the ART. + Ensuring the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts where applicable, especially for continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. + Ensuring the testing processes support high-quality deliverables, with a focus on reliability, security, and system performance. + Proactively identifying risks in the testing lifecycle and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies. + Working closely with the Scrum Masters, Product Owners, DevOps, and development teams to ensure testing activities are effectively coordinated within the Agile workflow. + Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews to ensure alignment on testing progress and goals. + Collaborating with product owners, engineers, and other collaborators to ensure alignment between business requirements and test planning. + Managing a team of testers within the ART, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and encouraging a collaborative environment. + Encouraging a culture of continual improvement and advocating for the use of standard processes in testing. + Tracking key performance metrics for testing activities (e.g., test coverage, defect density, and testing efficiency) and reporting progress to leadership. + Providing comprehensive test reports and presentations that clearly communicate testing outcomes, including risks, issues, and recommendations. + Continuously assessing and refining testing processes, tools, and practices to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with Agile principles. + Implementing process improvements based on feedback, retrospectives, and evolving standard methodologies in both software and automation testing. **Who You Are:** You promote high visibility of shared contributions to goals. You handle the risk that comes with moving forward when the outcome is not certain. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. + 10+ years of experience in Test Management or Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years of experience in an Agile environment (preferably in an ART). + Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and Cypress, frameworks, and CI/CD processes. + Strong understanding of DevOps principles and automated testing in CI/CD pipelines. + Strong background in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). + Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in the execution of test strategies and delivering high-quality products. + Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** + Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Agilist). + Knowledge of standard methodologies for testing in process control and automation systems. **Our Culture & Commitment to You** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
