Test Lab Technician
**Shift:** Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM **Location** : 3800 E Centre Ave, Portage, MI **Summary:** The Test Lab Technician is responsible for assisting in coordination of quality standards for components, materials or services. In this role, you will apply measures, sampling methods, testing methodology and other procedures that ensure that quality standards are met and apply quality principles, analyze quality records, prepare reports and recommend improvements. Additionally, you will conduct inspection, verification and validation of components or materials used in development processes and identify and address recurring problems either with the quality of the product or the reliability of testing procedures, ensuring proper and complete documentation of quality issues and performance measures. **What You Will Do:** + Conduct and document mechanical testing according to operating procedures and work instructions. + Review test requests and reports made by internal and external customers. + Assist in the design, construction, programming, integration, and validation of test systems. + Account for all record keeping as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications. + Utilize proper software and technological tools to maintain proper records. + Understand and maintain testing systems; apply appropriate testing systems, procedures, and techniques while building test fixtures and executing tests. + Understand and apply lab performance metrics; provide recommendations for continuously improving Test Lab performance. + Maintain accountability and fitness of all equipment in the Test Lab; evaluate and purchase test equipment and software for the laboratory. + Provide technical assistance to Test Lab Technicians as required. **What You Need:** _Required:_ + High school diploma or equivalent + 2 or more years’ experience **or** associate degree or Technical Certificate in related field. + Experience reading blueprints + Experience with metrology, pneumatics, and hydraulics _Preferred:_ + Familiarity user/installation manuals and product specifications + Familiarity with logic and/or object-oriented programming + Familiarity with measurement techniques using various sensors including pressure, strain, acceleration, load, current, voltage and temperature Health benefits include: Medical and prescription drug insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, personalized healthcare support, wellbeing program and tobacco cessation program.
