As a Test Engr II here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of testing activities and the delivery of high-quality products. You will lead and coordinate a team of engineers to provide test support for product development.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring that all necessary tests are conducted to validate product performance and reliability. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in conducting tests and analyzing results, ensuring that all testing activities are carried out accurately and efficiently. **RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Contribute as an individual contributor within a global team, focusing on the testing of sensors and components.
+ Responsibilities include designing test systems, selecting components, detailed design, verification testing, and collaboration with other functional/support teams.
+ Generate technical reports, documentation, and progress updates. Develop technical expertise in specific product lines and contribute to proposals and growth ideas for product line improvement.
+ Must have a proven track record of delivering tests in a New Product Introduction (NPI) team for at least 2 years.
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
+ Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics design and testing.
+ Experience in testing pressure switches, pressure sensors, transportation, and thermal sensors.
+ Hands-on experience with LabVIEW and Python coding is preferred.
+ Proficiency in MS Excel and macros analysis.
+ Accurate data collection and reporting skills, both written and verbal.
+ Previous experience in test lab management, test equipment design, test plan development, and implementation on development hardware.
+ Operate and maintain environmental chambers and automated test systems.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of sensors and test equipment such as PLCs, oscilloscopes, function generators.
+ Familiarity with thermal chambers and maintenance procedures, understanding of TPM principles to optimize test equipment uptime.
+ Demonstrated leadership in managing projects and cross-functional teams across multiple sites to achieve milestones and deliverables.
+ Good knowledge of various serial communication protocols including USB, SPI, and I2C.
+ Preferred experience with sensor signals conditioning circuits.
+ Strong technical ownership throughout full life cycle projects.
+ Fundamental understanding of product development, manufacturing, simulation methods and techniques, FMEA, and other engineering principles.
+ Ability to predict and quantify technical risks in projects.
+ Preferable demonstration of six sigma tools used in projects.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics communication or Instrumentation.
