This Position reports to:

Test Engineering Lead

 

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the completion of testing activities efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, cybersecurity policies and standards. Each day, you will assist Test Engineers with product and system testing. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing standard test records and completing test documentation.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in Richmond, VA.

You will be mainly accountable for:Maintaining test reports and certificates that prove compliance with required and applicable standards, market, or regulatory requirements in line with customer specifications, legal, or ABB internal requirements.Supporting risk assessments to assure safe and cybersecure systems of work and taking appropriate actions.Utilizing standardized processes and tools and maintaining/calibrating them.Assisting in carrying out tests and inspections at suppliers’ premises to meet contractual obligations

Qualifications for the role Proven competency working with 3 phase power systems and the electrification power protection sector3-5 years experience working in an electrical field (electrical test environment preferred)Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsPossess an understanding of electrical troubleshooting of 3 phase power systemsYou are passionate about contributing to the development of production and safety processes used in an industrial environmentProven experience using electrical measurement equipment in electrical testing environmentsClear and concise technical communication skillsDegree or certification in a technical field (electrical preferred)
