Test Engineering Manager
**CTG is seeking to fill a Test Engineering Manager opening for our client in Whitsett, NC.** **Location:** Whitsett, NC **Duration:** 12+ months, contract to hire **Duties:** + Plan, develop, and implement procedures for testing and evaluating standard and special devices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Manage a test engineering team, including staffing, training, development, and performance management. + Specify tests to be performed, compile data, and make recommendations on test equipment, procedures, and manufacturing processes. + Recommend and support the purchase and deployment of new test equipment. + Ensure efficient operation through effective personnel selection, development, and evaluation. + Oversee all aspects of Functional and Structural Test development to support new product introductions and First Time Builds. + Monitor test process performance through digital tools and drive continuous improvement initiatives. + Provide coaching and leadership to support timely release of test stations, yield improvement, test capacity planning, and documentation updates. + Initiate and implement plans to improve test yields, cycle times, and product quality. + Engage in technical discussions with customers and represent the test engineering group capabilities. + Define requirements and oversee planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking for new projects. + Assign responsibilities and balance workload across the team based on group priorities. + Provide technical guidance and training to team members; conduct research to resolve complex engineering problems. + Troubleshoot and analyze performance issues in collaboration with Process and Manufacturing Engineering teams. + Establish and monitor schedules, performance objectives, and project goals. + Act as a technical advisor and ensure alignment with business trends and customer expectations. **Skills:** + Strong leadership, coaching, and project management skills. + Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis, and report generation capabilities. + Experience with functional and system testing, including yield and performance analysis. + Ability to manage diverse technical challenges and adapt to changing business needs. + Independent learner with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision. + Proficient in test documentation, station release processes, and manufacturing test systems. **Experience:** + Proven experience managing test engineering teams in a manufacturing environment. + Hands-on experience with server testing, yield monitoring tools, and production support. + Demonstrated success in process improvement, customer engagement, and engineering service delivery. **Education:** + Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related technical field. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
