US Navy Submarine Fire Control or SONAR Technician (FT\/STS) Test Engineer\n

Rite-Solutions, Inc is ready to hire a Tester with hands on experience with the Navy's AN\/BYG-1 Tactical Control System (TCS) to help build the Submarine Combat System delivered to the United States Navy (USN) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Submarine fleet. Working knowledge of AN\/BYG-1 Tactical Control, Payload Control, Weapon Control, Common Infrastructure, and\/or Information Assurance subsystems is preferred. Our team is passionate about delivering the best product to the Navy to help protect our country and works closely with the Submarine community to develop solutions that allow the Navy to carry out high-stakes national security missions.\n

Roles and Responsibilities:\n\nConducting subsystem and system of systems testing\nWorking in an Agile environment with engineers across the program to verify our deliveries to the Navy\nAnalyzing how our software meets system, functional and performance requirements\nCommunicating and proactively resolving issues with engineers from other subsystems to determine where issues lie and how we can address them as a project team\nInvestigate test failures and determine root-cause\nWrite clear and concise bug reports, verify bug fixes (validation\/verification)\nMentor junior test engineers\nDetermine and report metrics for testing and relay results to stakeholders\nSupport all tasking assigned by the Test Lead\n\n

Desired experience and capabilities:\n\nFormal testing experience with a DoD production delivery environment\nExperience working proactively with local and remote test team members\nSolid verbal and written communications skills using Microsoft Office products\nKnowledge of requirements management and system modeling tools\nWorking knowledge of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories\nExperience working in the SWFTS submarine community\nCommunication among your peers and up the chain\nRecognition of relevant information, and clear communication of issues and alternatives\n\n

Additional Requirements\n\nDepartment of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\n\n
