Test Engineer - SONIX

Our customers come from a variety of industries including semiconductor packaging, component manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and traditional non-destructive testing industries. **Brief Description** Sonix is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to evaluate our hardware and software products to test features and specifications and provide feedback to the engineering team. **Responsibilities:** + Developing comprehensive testing strategies to support new product releases and software development. This includes but is not limited to setting up products to perform functional tests, creating and executing test plans, building test harnesses and fixtures, and developing automated test scripts. The successful candidate will become proficient at operating our hardware and software products and will gain basic ultrasonic applications knowledge (training will be provided). + Along with supporting new product development the test engineer will be responsible for coordinating with our production team to resolve quality issues and interfacing with our global service team to help triage, troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field. + Work closely with multiple teams including both internal and external partners and may require limited travel. The successful candidate should be well organized and have excellent communication skills. **Equipment setup:** + Setup, level, and train wafer handling equipment (for example: atmospheric robots, pre-aligners, load ports) and demonstrate reliability of handling equipment + PC setup including installation of components, driver configuration, installation of software and 3 rd party components + System setup including configuration of instrumentation, transducers to run applications to create recipes and observe image quality and system performance **Develop test plans, methodologies, and conduct testing to ensure the products meet functional requirements. Specific focus in the following areas:** + Functional tests of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic sub-systems + Functional tests of software including GUI, use cases, software interfaces such as input, outputs, reports, SECS/GEM interface + Interface between engineering and the global Field Service Team to collect, interpret, and clarify incoming issues and features. + Set up and attempt to reproduce reported issues (cases) + Gather information from field support team to adequately characterize and isolate the problem + Communicate issue to the engineering team + Provide feedback to the field service team on resolution of issue + Design test fixtures and develop automated test software. Select the test tools and equipment to be used for specified test efforts. + Fully document test designs and policies and procedures. Draft, review and maintain formal test procedures. + Consult with design engineering on product conformance issues. + Actively participate in the setting of test schedule. Responsible for meeting test schedule goals. Monitor project status and maintain a flow of information to supervisor. **Qualifications:** + 4 years degree in engineering or computer science preferred + High level of PC competency, both in PC assembly and architecture, installing 3 rd party boards, drivers etc. and skilled at operating a Windows PC + Hands on, practical experience using systems that have a PC interface and/or some kind of motion control interface + Ability to use high level programming languages or scripting languages to create automated tests + Experience working with semiconductor equipment or general work in a cleanroom environment a strong plus + Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. + Experience with industrial measurement equipment such as DAQ system, Oscilloscope, and National Instrument devices. + Good time management, organizational and ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once + Strong commitment to quality, attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines + Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), listening & leadership skills \#LI-RB **Ralliant Corporation Overview** Ralliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
