Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description

The Test Engineer will conduct manual tests on robots to ensure they perform tasks as prescribed before approval for manufacturing. This role requires a blend of electrical and mechanical expertise, proficiency in reading testing documents, and a keen attention to detail.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the software development team to run tests verifying that machines and robots perform as intended.Receive a test log and instructions on how to conduct tests, ranging from simple movements to advanced functions.Record data meticulously, line by line, and report findings to the test manager and software development team.Communicate test results effectively through both written and verbal means.Input data into Excel and other software using a workstation.Essential SkillsMechanical EngineeringTestingElectrical EngineeringStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in documentation and troubleshootingAbility to follow directions and work independentlyAdditional Skills & QualificationsB.S. in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringHands-on experience with electronics or electro-mechanical equipmentAptitude and attitude towards learning and developmentWork Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The workplace features a modern, updated office with a full kitchen, offices, a ping pong table, and a large test warehouse for robots. Most work occurs in the electronics/quality lab, with occasional testing on the floor. Employees enjoy a catered lunch daily, a flexible schedule, and a relaxed work environment where casual attire, such as T-shirts and jeans, is acceptable. The office is dog-friendly, and employees can choose their own desk chairs and receive company swag on their first day, including shirts, sweatshirts, and jackets.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
