Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. This role involves creating detailed Test Plans and Procedures to ensure product requirements are met, designing or specifying test fixtures and equipment, and developing Statements of Work (SOW) for new test equipment needs.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement cost-effective testing and troubleshooting methods for systems and equipment.Create detailed Test Plans and Test Procedures to verify product requirements.Design or specify test fixtures and equipment.Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for new test equipment and support Supply Chain and Suppliers in execution.Develop SOW for external qualification testing services and support in execution.Create and maintain test and diagnostic software.Align the detailed testing schedule with the Program Management schedule.Prepare qualification test reports and test failure and resolution reports to document testing activities.Essential SkillsProficiency in LabVIEW, with a preference for FGPA.5-10 years of experience in test engineering.Experience in creating testing requirements, plans, and procedures.Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in mechanical test development is beneficial.Work Environment

The position offers a long-term, full-time opportunity within a research and development type work environment, catering to commercial and defense customers. The role will primarily support projects within the commercial aerospace industry. The current team consists of four other Test Engineers, and the role offers a hybrid work arrangement. The business segment is located in Shelby, NC, and specializes in designing and manufacturing complex motion control components, systems, and subsystems for specialized applications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
