Test Engineer

The Test Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing test and project management activities associated specifically with Landis+Gyr account activities

Core Area of Responsibility:

Support Contract Manufacturers to ensure test are performed in accordance with Landis+Gyr manufacturing test specifications. Troubleshoot and address production test-related issues. Continually improve the existing test software and hardware with emphasis on flexibility and standardization in mind. Support Supply Chain in evaluating potential low-cost contract manufacturers' test capabilities. Streamline Manufacturing Test Development Process for internal and contract manufacturers. Perform statistical analysis to ensure test equipment is performing to Landis+Gyr quality requirements (e.g. Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility, Cpk, Ppk, etc.). Represent the company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external organizations. Working closely with the New Product Initiative (NPI) Team to develop manufacturing test capabilities of new products. Provide reports as required by Landis+Gyr (weekly, daily, etc.). Work according to the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301 as applicable

Required Experience:

A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred with 10+ hands-on years' experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing test environment Minimum of 5 years' experience with National Instruments TestStand and LabVIEW 10% travel is expected

Required Skills:

Must have strong troubleshooting skills in test systems In-depth knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes Knowledge of NI TestStand, LabVIEW, Python, and Visual Basic Familiar with testing RF hardware devices and RF test equipment In-depth knowledge and experience of software development life cycle, system and integration testing, development of test plans, testing processes and techniques, manual and automated testing Knowledge of database application SQL or MS Access Team player with ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Self-motivated and result-oriented with technical aptitude Strong project management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
