The Work
In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading professionals and contribute to groundbreaking projects. As an Experienced Engineering Professional, your responsibilities will include:
• This position would be working with the SQQ-89 DDG/CG Combat system in support Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAD) Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer or “CIAT” program.
• Frequently installing new software versions of the SQQ89, for ACB15 and ACB19, then using extensive system knowledge to assess system readiness and provide troubleshooting guidance to Integration staff to assist in the recovery of issues.
• Utilizing a strong operational background and deep level of knowledge of the SQQ-89 to ensure that the system is in a constant state of readiness.
• The job will require both technical and operational acumen, and the ability to establish good relationships with members of a diverse team consisting of government, and other contractors.
• Interface with the Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer to help in elevating system issues, and work directly with government personnel/oversite to convey what the team is doing to address the concerns through fruition.
Travel inside the continental United States will be required. To be considered, candidate must hold an active government Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
• Enlisted Surface or Submarine experience
• Forward Deployed experience with APB15 or ACB15 and newer systems
• Forward deployed experience with towed sensors
• Maintenance Technician on ACB15/APB15 and newer systems
• Able to work with Senior Leadership in an advisory capacity to inform status and help define and execute next steps
• Strong Critical Thinking Skills
• Sonar Supervisor Qualified (preferred, but other candidates will receive serious consideration based on experience)
• ESWS or SS Qualified (preferred, but other candidates will receive serious consideration based on experience)
• E-6 or above (preferred, but other candidates will receive serious consideration based on experience)
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire teams of engineers.
•An innovative mindset, capable of finding solutions to complex engineering challenges.
•Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering high-quality results.
•The selected candidate must hold an active government Secret security clearance.
•Must be willing to travel inside the continental United States.
Desired Skills:
Microsoft Power Point, Word, Outlook and Excel experience preferred along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must work well with others in a collaborative environment. Must be able to think flexibly, and critically, open to the theories of others and be responsive to changing direction.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
