Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•\tDevelop and execute test plans for automatic transmissions.
•\tCollect and analyze test data using data acquisition systems and software tools.
•\tDocument test results, create detailed technical reports, and present findings to engineering and quality teams.
•\tIdentify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to the development of best practices in testing.
•\tEnsure that all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment issues.
•\tDesign and build automatic transmission testing equipment to validate build quality of remanufactured assemblies.
•\tMaintain thorough documentation of testing procedures, results, and modifications made during the testing process.
•\tPartner with on-site EHS to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA.
Qualifications:
•\tBachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
•\t5+ years of experience in automotive component or system testing
•\tKnowledge of automotive systems, testing standards, and validation processes
•\tExperience with data acquisition tools (NI LabVIEW, TestStand, CANalyzer, or similar)
•\tStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
•\tFamiliarity with FMEA, root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
•\tMeticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
•\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•\tUnderstand operational theory of automatic transmissions.
Preferred Qualifications:
•\tExperience with transmission, powertrain, or drivetrain testing.
•\tExperience with testing equipment specific to automotive transmissions.
•\tKnowledge of hydraulic systems, electronics, and software used in modern automatic transmissions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
