Test Engineer

BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As a Test Engineer, you’ll be responsible for documenting and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality products. Involved in test planning, writing manual and automated test cases/scripts and test execution. Responsible for analyzing manual and automated test scenario results. Involved in projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments. Participate in multiple programs and systems as a project team member. Considered a subject matter expert for a single program/system.

Define and track quality assurance metrics, including defects and test statusAnalyse scenarios to minimize defect noise and ensure defects are well-documented and resolvedEnsure Product quality meets documented requirements and enhances customer satisfaction Perform back-end system and front-end UI triage and troubleshooting for defect identification Identify manual test cases suitable for automation and scripting test scenariosDeliver quality process training and act as an internal quality consultantConduct quality audits to ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and methodologiesAlign Business operational strategies with product quality assurance

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:3+ years of System development and/or business experience with testing, coding and designEducation:BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experienceTechnical skills:Experience with automation scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Ruby or similarProficient in test tools (HPQC, TestRail)Skills:Detail-oriented and should be able to identify and tackle technical issues, creating test cases or writing defectsResults-oriented and have the drive to meet targets and deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skills.Effective attention to detailDisplay professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and discretionCritical thinker, ability to negotiate with key stakeholders and maintain positive attitudeEffective organizational skillsUnderstanding of database schemas and querying toolsDemonstrated in-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plansDemonstrated in-depth analytical and problem solving skillsDemonstrated in-depth understanding of test automation framework and toolsAbilities:.Ability to see beyond the obvious to help identify and troubleshoot defects in different scenariosAbility to communicate up to key stakeholdersAbility to focus on deadlines and deliverablesAbility to work well with shifting prioritiesAbility to work with cross-functional team of internal and external resourcesAbility to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environmentSchedule:Full timeOffice Environment

The base pay for this position generally is between $78,900.00 and $152,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
