Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description

The Test Engineer/Conductor will be responsible for the development, execution, and management of tests on large fabricated parts to validate construction and support proper execution of requirements for large government contracts.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage test plans and procedures aligned to customer requirements.Define, coordinate, and oversee test setup, execution, and teardown including fixtures and equipment.Ensure testing activities meet program goals, schedules, and quality expectations.Support and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Qualification Testing, and Product Validation Testing.Develop test fixtures, stands, instrumentation, and equipment.Review and ensure all test-related hardware complies with applicable standards such as AISC, AWS, and AS9100.Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability of test protocols.Research and recommend advanced technologies to management.Work regularly with executive and senior management to provide project updates and gather feedback.Partner with cross-functional teams, including aerospace engineers, manufacturing specialists, and clients to define project goals and deliverables.Provide technical guidance and support during sales processes, system integration, installation, and commissioning phases.Deliver detailed reviews, test reports, and project updates to stakeholders.Interact frequently with the shop floor to ensure project progression.Participate in the development of manufacturing plans, schedules, and quality plans.Review purchase orders, contracts, and change requests to ensure requirements are met.Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.Essential SkillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and test specifications.Experience testing large fabricated parts, including load testing, stress testing, and weld tests.ITAR compliant and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in an Engineering Field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace or related) is highly preferred.EIT certification is preferred.Working knowledge in FEA simulation and Structural Analysis software.Project management skills in scope, schedule, and cost.Knowledge of aerospace industry-specific standards such as AISC, AWS, and NACE.Experience working under a Quality Management System like AS9100, ISO9001, or NQA-1.Work Environment

The role is fully onsite and hands-on with testing, regularly working on the shop floor and engineering offices. The position is salaried and exempt.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
