Job Description
The Test Engineer will be responsible for the development, execution and management of tests on large fabricated parts to support execution of requirements for large government contracts.
Test Design and Development:
Develop and manage test plans and procedures aligned to customer requirementsDefine, coordinate and oversee test setup, execution and teardown including fixtures and equipmentEnsure testing activities meet program goals, schedules and quality expectationsSupport and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Qualification Testing and Product Validation TestingConduct and Validate Tests:
Develop test fixtures, stands, instrumentation and equipmentReview and ensure all test-related hardware complies with applicable standards (ex: AISC, AWS, AS9100)Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety and sustainability of test protocolsResearch and advanced technologies for recommendations to managementCollaboration and Communication:
Work regularly with executive management to provide project updates and gather feedbackPartner with cross-functional teams, including aerospace engineers, manufacturing specialists and clients to define project goals and deliverablesProvide technical guidance and support during sales processes, system integration, installation and commissioning phasesDeliver detailed reviews, test reports and project updates to stakeholdersInteract frequently with shop floor to ensure project progressionParticipate in project development of manufacturing plans, schedules and quality plansReview purchase orders, contracts and change request to ensure requirements are metPromote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reportsSkills & Qualifications
Must Have:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test specificationsExperience testing large fabricated parts: load testing, stress testing, weld tests, etc.ITAR compliant and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearanceHighly Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace or related)EIT certification preferredWorking knowledge in FEA simulation and Structural Analysis softwareProject management (scope, schedule and cost)Knowledge of aerospace industry-specific standards (AISC, AWS, NACE)Experience working under a Quality Management System (AS9100, ISO9001, NQA-1, etc)Experience Level

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
