Job Summary:

Test Engineer:  Designs, develops, implements and executes cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.  Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.  Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.  May be responsible for setting the parameters and testing of production products.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with the Teledyne FLIR design team and customer to formulate test requirementsPrepare test matrix for new IC and/or FPA testDevelop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specificationsWrite test code for new IC characterization and probe testPrepare Teledyne FLIR characterization and wafer probe test stationsPerform required characterization and production probe testsWrite test procedures and test reports as necessarySupport and on occasion conduct performance testing to ensure the product meets performance requirements under various conditionsDevelop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and repeatabilityAssist the design team in understanding and correcting any design deficienciesAssist other engineers in the performance of related dutiesMake sure equipment is setup timelyVerification of new IC and/or FPA performance

Job Qualifications:

Attention to Detail required assuring that tests are fully documented in compliance with Teledyne FLIR’s quality systemAnalytical Problem Solving required to assist the design team in understanding and correcting design deficienciesCollaboration & Teamwork to effectively communicate with design team and customersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong Communication Skills – Oral, Listening & Written to effectively communicate and document test results and formulate test requirementsInnovation: Must have the ability to develop new approaches and/or creative solutions using innovative methodologies and/or conceptsFlexibility required ensuring the ability to adapt to changing requirements and work-load re-prioritization as indicated.Knowledge and experience in the following required:Electronic principles such as Ohms lawElectronic components such as resistors and capacitorsBasic understanding of CMOS circuits Ability to read schematic diagramsAbility to read, write and debug C #, Python, Verilog, and Microsoft Visual Basic codeAbility to assemble printed circuit test boards and solder components is desiredImaging sensors, dewars and associated equipment is desiredWafer probe stations and associated equipment is desired

KNOWLEDGE:  Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.  This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.JOB COMPLEXITY:  Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.  Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. SUPERVISION:  Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Salary Range:

$77,000.00-$102,600.000
