Job DescriptionWe are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Test & Commissioning (T&C) Engineer - Technician to join our team in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and validating electrical and functional systems of railway subsystems. Your expertise will contribute directly to ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of our products.
Job Description:
Conduct cabling, sub-system, and train functional, performance, and safety tests.Interpret electrical schematics and wire lists accurately.Operate and utilize diagnostic tools, testing software, and programming interfaces (software loading).Use measurement instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.Identify, trace, and repair electrical faults with rigor and precision.Ensure compliance with all applicable norms, safety regulations, and internal standards.Record inspection results accurately and generate test reports.Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.Work flexibly across shifts, adapting to changing conditions and environments.Uphold safety protocols, including PPE usage and EHS standards.QualificationsEducation:
Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Industrial IT Engineering, or Railway fields.Certifications in Electrical Safety and First Aid are a plus.Experience:
From RS (Railway Systems): Minimum 2 years of experience.From other sectors: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of electrical systems and schematics.Proficiency with testing tools and diagnostic equipment.Experience in software tools for testing and system diagnostics.Sound knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and procedures relevant to railway systems.Methodical troubleshooting and repair skills, with a proven ability to diagnose complex electrical and mechanical faults.Experience with testing and commissioning of railway-specific systems (e.g., safety systems, TCMS, pantographs) is highly advantageous.Soft & Personal Skills:
Attention to detail and strong inspection capabilities ensuring thorough and accurate testing.Problem-solving mindset with a drive for improvement, actively seeking solutions and contributing to process optimization.Ability to work well in a team environment, supporting a collaborative culture and effectively communicating with colleagues.Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
