Location/Region: This position is located in Northwest area and will cover Alaska, Northern CA, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Idaho, and Utah territory. Candidates need to live within Nevada or northern CA.

What’s the role?

Reporting directly to the Head of Vision Technical Solutions (VTS), the Territory Sales Representative (TSR) is responsible for the generation of new business to Eyecare Professionals in assigned geographic territory, selling, installing and supporting our portfolio of Exam Lane, Pre-test and Digital Measurement Devices. The TSR will establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with customers to create high satisfaction and perception of value from Carl Zeiss Vision products and services, working with customers to create a memorable end-to end patient experience utilizing Zeiss solutions.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Identify and develop new business opportunities, prospects and qualified potential customers through appointment setting and cold calls.
•    Deliver to monthly and annual sales plan, accurately process quotes, complete installs/trainings including all necessary reporting for all sales, installs and customer interactions
•    Demonstrate excellent product knowledge and an awareness of market conditions.
•    Represent company in keeping with the highest standards of business ethics and professionalism.
•    Offers ongoing support for customers during installation and activation of equipment and maintains close relationships with clients to resolve issues and provide solutions

Meet or exceed sales goals as established for sales plan in assigned territory, primarily through external sales to Vision customers by prospecting and qualifying potential customers through appointments and cold calls

Strong sales focus with the ability to move key opportunities through the sales cycle, providing detailed and accurate sales forecasts using the company's CRM tool

Completes all required reporting and process tasks accurately and on-time, including CRM entries, Site Surveys, Quotes, Installation and Training documentation plus ZEISS Contracts

Work with sales leadership to develop aggressive pipeline of current and new targeted customers, by following up on all leads and working assigned territory

Demonstrates strong technical expertise in the installation, operation and troubleshooting for both hardware and software issues for all devices in portfolio, including training for all required staff.

Able to network devices and troubleshoot connectivity to ensure customer is able to effectively and consistently operate devices as intended, partnering with VTS Support team when necessary

Timely communication with customers in a professional, clear and concise manner on the phone, in email and text, following the 24-hour rule

Builds effective internal and external relationships; establish credibility and rapport with customers and team members

Follows all pricing, warranty and promotion rules established by Head of VTS

Utilizes available marketing tools, including sell-in videos, training videos and sell sheets electronically

Organize and schedule tasks, develop realistic goals and action plans to drive sales

Attend various events, e.g., Trade shows, etc. to generate new business opportunities as directed

Will adhere to all expense reporting rules and completing expense reports at least once every two weeks

Deals with unexpected situations or events, frequent changes, or delays

Provides detailed feedback and observation regarding product performance and usability

Responsible for developing and maintaining strong working knowledge of Carl Zeiss Vision products, services, and training materials, including completing assigned certification and CurioZ courses

Stays up to date on competitor products and activities, shares market intel with Head of VTS

Follows all safety standards and reports any safety concerns to leadership

Do you qualify?

High level of ophthalmic equipment product knowledge preferred

Experience in operation of ECP/Retail optical store

Basic computer/instrumentation networking preferred

Minimum 2 years’ experience in optical or capital equipment sales
Required - Must have a valid driver’s license

Preferred - ABO Certification

Required - HSD / GED

Preferred - Bachelors

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
