Territory Sales Manager

**Job Summary:**
The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth of crop protection products (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, etc.) within the assigned territory. The role involves managing channel partners, engaging with farmers and influencers, and executing marketing and field-level activities to ensure product penetration and customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Sales & Business Development**
+ Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for crop protection products.
+ Identify and onboard new channel partners (distributors, retailers).
+ Monitor secondary sales and ensure timely stock replenishment.
+ **Market Development**
+ Conduct farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and product trials.
+ Build strong relationships with key influencers (progressive farmers, agri consultants, FPOs).
+ Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and farmer preferences.
+ **Channel Management**
+ Train and support channel partners on product knowledge and sales techniques.
+ Ensure proper branding and visibility at retail points.
+ Monitor credit limits and ensure timely collections.
+ **Reporting & Analysis**
+ Maintain accurate records of sales, field activities, and customer feedback.
+ Provide regular updates to the Regional Sales Manager on market trends and opportunities.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field (MBA in Agri Business is a plus).
+ 3–6 years of experience in agri-input sales, preferably in crop protection.
+ Strong understanding of the local cropping patterns, pests, and disease cycles.
+ Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing rural distribution.

+ Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
+ Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
+ Proficiency in local language(s) and familiarity with rural markets.
