Territory Sales Manager, Wiring Devices

Eaton Corporation’s North America Electrical Sales Division is looking for a **Territory Sales Manager for Wiring Devices** in the Northeast region.
The purpose of the Territory Sales Manager, Residential and Wiring Devices will be the demand creation for Eaton’s Wiring Devices (WD) business to achieve the sales growth targets for the residential, commercial, and industrial products in the region assigned. These markets are represented by Eaton Wiring Device Agents. The expectation for this person is to work closely with the agents to identify targeted segments and targeted customers within the segments to drive demand, which will in turn drive distribution. This role will also work closely with the Director of Sales to define specific needs of the agents and help drive the overall business plan.
Additionally, this role will partner with the North American Sales (NAS) Eaton sales force to drive the entire Wiring Device product portfolio by leveraging NAS relationships at the customer level to drive demand back to the channel for WD additions or complete conversions.
**What you’ll do:**
+ Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements.
+ Maintain consistent communication with management of key regional contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers, and projects located within the territory.
+ Identify and develop growth opportunities for the assigned customer base, coordinating with New Programs Listing as agreed with marketing.
+ Create action plans within the territory in support of Divisional Strategic Plans.
+ Coordinate executive level and new campaign meetings within the territory and clear relationship “roadblocks”.
+ Understand and demonstrate the features and benefits of the full line of commercial, industrial, and lighting controls supporting products including training others on product usage and applications.
+ Provide appropriate technical assistance regarding product applications to engineering consultants, OEM, users, inspection and standards personnel, contractors, agents etc.
+ Develop targeted customer lists and project pipelines for customer conversions and provide support during those conversions.
+ Inform the Division of business and product trends, competitive conditions, and voice of the customer within the region.
**Qualifications:**
**Required (Basic) Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
+ Seven (7) years of electrical industry sales experience
+ Ability to travel up to 50% in the northeast region of the US
+ Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
+ MBA

+ Ability to respond to a variety of challenging circumstances while continuing to demonstrate superior selling skills for important customer services and applications
+ Ability to provide technical solutions built around customer needs
+ Possess negotiating skills while understanding and using techniques needed to close orders
+ Experience with building a sales pipeline to meet sales targets and utilizing Value Added selling techniques
The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $165,000-$242,000.
Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
