Job Description

Summary

The Terrain Park Worker plays a hands-on role in the daily setup, maintenance, and safe operation of the terrain parks and halfpipe, ensuring features are maintained to the highest standards. This role supports event preparation by installing and breaking down park elements, while also serving as a visible and approachable presence for guests. With a focus on safety, creativity, and guest engagement, the Terrain Park Worker helps deliver an exceptional on-mountain experience for riders of all levels. This position reports to the Terrain Park Director.

Essential Job Functions

Daily maintenance including raking, shoveling, salting and setting up/breaking down banners, flags, signage, fencing, etc.Inspect features dailyTests features as directed by park managementReports guest injuries to ski patrol and assist at accident sceneOperate salt monkey and snowmobile if scheduledEducates park users and promotes terrain park etiquetteOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or olderValid driver’s license requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredFluent in English required; some Spanish helpfulWorking knowledge of park layout/design and park event experience preferredSuccessful completion of ASC snowmobile licensing training preferredSuccessful completion of ASC chainsaw certification preferredFirst Aid certification preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of park design/lay out and event experience preferredKnowledge of safely handling and operating heavy and dangerous machineryBasic understanding and use of Google Sketch UpComfortable working on mountain terrain including steep gradesKnowledge of company policies and proceduresAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyAbility to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goalsFollows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to be a team player, working collaboratively with othersBasic industry terminologyDemonstrates expertise in the technical aspect of the job

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of timeRegularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfacesMust be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
