Terminal Manager

We are seeking a Terminal Manager to lead transportation operations across our Vancouver and Kelowna terminals, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable service. This role is accountable for compliance, operational performance, and customer satisfaction while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director, the Terminal Manager drives excellence in daily operations, employee engagement, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

Promote a safety-first culture and lead health, food safety, and compliance initiatives.

Ensure adherence to regulations, HACCP, QMS, and company policies.

Manage safety training, incident prevention, and driver/equipment compliance.

People Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop terminal staff to deliver strong results.

Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance, and succession planning.

Build positive union relations and partner with HR on employee matters.

Customer Experience

Ensure service standards and customer SLAs are consistently met.

Partner with Customer Service, Business Development, and the Director to address needs and drive retention.

Resolve service issues and manage claims with professionalism and urgency.

Operational Excellence

Manage budgets, KPIs, and P&L accountability.

Monitor and improve daily terminal and fleet operations.

Optimize resource utilization and implement process improvements.

Lead cross-functional initiatives, training, and projects to support innovation.

Qualifications

5+ years of leadership in LTL, courier, or fast-paced logistics operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, or related field.

Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.

Proven track record in safety, compliance, and operational performance.

Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Experience in unionized environments and familiarity with transportation technologies preferred.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

Pay Range:$91,400.00 - $142,700.00
