Tennis Leader

Position Summary

The Tennis-Lead is responsible for the daily direction and coordination of a specific category within adult or junior programming. Follows the vision set by the adult or junior program leader and leads their category strategies from development to execution that ultimately drive growth and profitablilty for the category. Maintains the category business plan and budget and ensures monthly budget goals are met. Teaches private and group tennis lessons and successfully implements Life Time's Play Learn Love, and SMART (Juniors) methodology.  Embraces and executes student centered learning and rally based teaching. Grows revenue to meet or exceed department financial goals.  Demonstrates member centric customer service to encourage repeat business and referrals. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Monitors, demonstrates, and instructs students during tennis lessons on proper techniques, tactics and strategies to improve their overall tennis game.  Personally teaches on average 28 hours a week.Manages a specific category within adult or junior programming, including but not limited to the development and execution of strategies to grow category revenue and minimize expenses, accountability for category monthly/annual financial performance, and responsibility for making recommendations to the program leader on court scheduling and staff assignments.Creates exceptional member experiences by developing safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that encourages continued involvement and a positive Net Promoter Score, by involving members with programs, tournaments and special events, and by ensuring all tennis facilities and equipment are clean, organized and in good working condition.Attends required team meetings and individual meetings with manager.

Position Requirements

High School Graduate or GEDUnited States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and/or Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certifiedCPR and AED Certified within 30 days of hireExcellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing, and positive attitudeThorough knowledge of the game of tennis and possesses effective teaching styles and techniquesExcellent communication, time management, and organization skillsComfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team membersAbility to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds

Bachelor's Level DegreeKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)Understands and utlizes Profit & Loss(P&L) management, Key Performance Indicators(KPIs), and on/off court Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs). ​

PayThis is an hourly position with lesson instruction wages starting at $16.50 and pays up to $23.50, based on experience and qualifications. A separate wage for administrative working time will start at minimum wage and pays up to $21.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits
