Job Title: Temporary Warehouse Operative (FLT Licence Required)

Based in a modern, newly constructed facility, you will be responsible for offloading, picking, packing, and loading goods, with occasional cover in transport when required.

Key ResponsibilitiesTake responsibility for your own Health and Safety and that of others by following safe working practices.Deal with customers, drivers, and visitors promptly, professionally, and courteously.Goods In: Unload deliveries, check the quantity and quality of goods, and store items safely in line with company procedures.Order Fulfilment: Pick, pack, and label customer orders accurately in line with company procedures (manual handling required).Dispatch: Load vehicles and ensure all paperwork is signed and completed correctly.Inspect goods returned and process them in line with procedures.Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and site presentation.Carry out regular stock takes and assist with the annual stock take.The PersonMust have a minimum of 2 years’ forklift counterbalance experience.Reach truck and/or boom attachment experience preferred but not essential.Previous warehouse picking experience is essential.Experience in logistics is advantageous but not essential.A reliable team player who can also work independently in a time-sensitive environment.Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to build good working relationships.QualificationsCurrent FLT Counterbalance licence (essential).Reach Truck licence preferred but not essential.Basic Maths and English.Manual Handling and H&S Awareness certificates preferred but not essential.First Aid certificate preferred but not essential.Full UK driving licence.Additional InformationThis is a temporary role.Standard office hours are 8:15am – 5:00pm, 7.5-hour shifts, with some flexibility depending on team cover.Competitive hourly pay rate.Supportive and collaborative working environment.
