Job Description

In search of a superhero—to move heaven and earth for the best customers around!

We are currently searching for a Temporary Senior Expeditor to join our Supply Chain Purchasing Department. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with domestic and import complex suppliers to ensure all critical deliveries arrive at our various distribution locations on time to meet inventory demands. You will also be expected to escalate urgent delivery issues to key stakeholders and promptly report any anticipated delivery delays to management. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

A day on the job looks like this:

Monitoring and reporting any inventory shortages that could impact our ability to fulfill orders on time, ensuring business continuityContacting suppliers to confirm receipt of purchase orders and ensure timely shipment arrivalsEscalating urgent supply-and-demand deficiencies to key stakeholders, including Planning Management, Vendor Management and Transportation ManagementUpdating and maintaining order inventory in SAP to ensure accurate order historyMaintaining constant communication with suppliers during the production and transit phases of each orderPromptly notifying management of any critical shipment delaysCollaborating with suppliers to resolve invoicing issues that could delay payment processingInforming various warehouses of urgent shipment arrivalsMay manage tasks including the development of strategies and administration of policies, processes and resources within the Expediting department

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of expediting experience, or a comparable degree in a business-related fieldHigh school diploma requiredProficient in analyzing data to inform decisions and strategiesProven ability to make sound decisions under pressureThorough understanding of current sales trends to anticipate and address supply chain needsStrong sense of urgency with effective follow-through on tasksExceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the roleAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysisExcellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective stakeholder interactionHigh degree of expertise in expediting, with the ability to solve complex and unique issues/problemsComfortable working with a high degree of autonomy

At Lakeshore, we pay local market wages for employees that reside within Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

For this position, new employees joining Lakeshore who live within Los Angeles and Orange Counties are typically brought into the organization at an hourly rate between $22.59 - $26.44 depending on relevant experience & skillset.

This range is indicative of projected hiring range. The annual base compensation will take into account each candidate's relevant experience, location, and skillset.
