The position will oversee project coordination on an NSF-funded project examining emotion and mental health in young adults and community samples with mood difficulties and will involve opportunities to contribute to other ongoing studies in the lab if interested. Our research uses a multi-modal affective science approach to understand positive emotion and reward-related difficulties in psychopathology. Her work examines perturbations in positive valence systems in clinical populations characterized by positive emotion difficulties (e.g., bipolar disorder and depression) as well as across other clinical phenomenon and in healthy community samples of adults and adolescents. More information about our research can be found here: http://www.gruberpeplab.com/research.php Recent publications can be found here: http://www.gruberpeplab.com/people.php **What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be** Job Tasks include some or all of the following: 1. Assist with preparing laboratory studies, including IRB, ordering supplies and preparing tasks. 2. Recruit (fliers, website, telephone, newspaper ads emails), screen and schedule study participants. 3. Assist with experimental design (e.g. create questionnaires; create stimuli presentation using Qualtrics, Medialab, and other similar experimental software). 4. Set up, operate, and maintain research equipment for use in the experiments. 5. Collect data with clinically-relevant populations, including administering surveys (e.g., Qualtrics), overseeing implementation structured clinical interviews, computer administered tasks (e.g., using EPrime and MediaLab), and psychophysiological hook-up and data analysis (e.g., using Mind Ware and/or BIOPAC equipment). 6. Assist in creating, managing, and maintaining multiple databases (e.g., participant tracking, data, follow-up using Qualtrics, RedCap and/or FileMaker). 7. Maintain project-related documents and materials, including IRB protocols and budgets. 8. Assist with oversight of research assistants in laboratory under PI's supervision. **What You Should Know** Oversee data management, cleaning, and analysis (using Excel, SPSS, R). May assist in writing first drafts IRB amendments, progress reports to IRB and funding agencies. Flexibility to work occasional weekends and/or evenings required to accommodate data collection/participant testing schedule. **What We Can Offer** $20.00 per hour.
