What we want The Temporary Research Associate will perform experimental research on the desalination of saline waters using engineered osmosis. Assist with experimental research on chemical treatment and resource recovery from high salinity waters. Data Interpretation and reporting and mentoring and supervision of undergraduate students in the laboratory. What you need to know Salary: will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience. Please note: This position is grant funded; future employment may be contingent upon future funding. Required Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree in relevant field + Two years of related professional experience Preferred Qualifications + Preferably to have education and experience relevant to the job description. + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others Job Responsibilties + Desalination Research and Experimentation: Perform experimental research on desalination of saline waters using engineered osmosis. Prepare draw and feed solutions with varying chemical compositions. Screen draw solutions for performance. Design and execute desalination experiments to evaluate water flux and solute transport through membranes. Handle and analyze samples.Membrane characterization. + Data Interpretation and reporting: Interpret data and prepare reports and result summaries. Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to support experimental design. + Assist in experimental research: Assist in experimental research on chemical treatment and resource recovery from high-salinity waters. Support data collection and analysis for ongoing projects. Maintain safe laboratory practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations. + Student Mentoring and Supervision: Mentor and train undergraduate students in laboratory practices. Supervise student activities related to research projects. Provide guidance on experimental methods and safety procedures. Why Texas A&M University?
