Job Description
The Temporary QC Chemistry Analyst will perform loss on dry (LOD) testing and manage lab support tasks within the QC Laboratory of a pharmaceutical company. Over the course of a 6-month contract, the analyst will handle 600-700 samples of a drug substance. Daily responsibilities include preparing glassware, conducting LOD testing by weighing raw materials, transferring them to the drying apparatus, and managing documentation and other laboratory support tasks. The importance of cGMP documentation is emphasized throughout the process.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain laboratory glassware.Conduct loss on dry (LOD) testing by weighing raw materials and transferring them to drying apparatus.Manage documentation and laboratory support tasks during drying periods.Weigh samples at the end of the drying period.Handle 600-700 samples of pancreatin over the contract duration.Ensure compliance with cGMP documentation standards.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in chemistry or related field.Experience with quality control processes and analytical techniques.Familiarity with GMP, FDA regulations, and SOPs.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.6+ months of pharmaceutical experience in education or laboratory settings.Bachelor's or Associate's degree in science preferred.Work Environment
The role operates on a 1st shift schedule, ideally Sunday-Thursday or Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility for starting between 7-9 am to complete an 8-hour shift. The position involves minimal overtime, which is not mandatory. The work environment includes exposure to small workspaces, varying temperatures, humidity, noise, and some chemicals.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
