Purpose

The Manager will work in collaboration with the Executive Director to supervise student callers and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Longhorn Donor Outreach Center (LDOC) at The University of Texas at Austin.

Responsibilities

The mission for LDOC is to engage with alumni, parents, and friends and enhance their connection with The University of Texas at Austin. Staffed by trained UT Austin students, the Center's outreach focuses on creating genuine connections with alumni and past donors, updating contact information, and raising funds for the colleges, schools, and units across campus. Responsibilities: Serve as a direct contact for student employees, track and manage attendance and schedules (utilizing employee scheduling software)

Supervise and lead the day-to-day call center tasks: kicking off shift, assigning student callers to teams, assigning call lines to students, confirming donor gifts, providing student support with difficult conversations and scenarios, and troubleshooting minor technical difficulties. Assist the Executive Director with caller incentives, motivational challenges, and tracking call center progress. Assist Executive Director with some job lifecycle tasks as needed (training, offboarding, disciplinary measures, etc.)

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Two (2) years of relevant work experience. Experience leading or managing students or employees. Highly effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal), problem-solving, and customer service. High degree of proficiency and comfort working in computer applications. Familiarity with non-profit or higher education fundraising programs or a strong desire to learn. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a donor-facing role is a plus. Experience within a call center or telemarketing environment a plus. Experience working in a CRM/database is a plus. Experience with student engagement center software is a plus. VanillaSoft preferred. Experience working with scheduling software is a plus; SubItUp preferred.

Hourly Rate

$25.00 + depending on qualifications

Work Shift

Hours per week - 40

The work hours are from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This position is a midday to evening shift position.

This is a Sunday through Thursday work assignment.
