Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary (Part Time) IT Asset Management Specialist to join our team for a temporary, 3–6-month on site assignment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of enterprise IT hardware assets, with a strong emphasis on utilizing the ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAMPro) module. This role involves a combination of hands-on technical support and meticulous asset tracking within a fast-paced environment.
This is a temporary position for a period of 3-6 months. We offer a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets, including receiving, deployment, reclamation, and disposal.
• Serve as a key user of ServiceNow HAMPro to track, manage, and reconcile all hardware assets.
• Assist with hardware inventory tracking, conducting regular asset reconciliation, and providing support for audits.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in asset records to ensure accuracy and data integrity within the asset management system.
• Provide onsite technical support for end-users, including the deployment and troubleshooting of various IT assets (e.g., desktops, laptops).
• Monitor and manage ticket queues related to hardware incidents, service requests, and asset inquiries.
• Support key IT events such as desk checkouts, hardware decommissioning, and large-scale deployments.
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Excel to work with large data sets for reconciliation, reporting, and analysis.
• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years’ experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Service Desk or IT support role with a significant focus on IT asset management.
• Hands-on, practical experience with ServiceNow, specifically the Hardware Asset Management (HAMPro) module.
• Proven experience with IT asset management principles and tracking tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti, or BMC Helix).
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking.
• Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and MS Office 365.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to travel among sites as needed.
• 5+ Years Svc Desk Tech with asset management - This position emphasizes technical support and asset management, including onsite desktop support, deploying various IT assets, and managing the asset lifecycle with experience in tools like ServiceNow.
• Certifications in IT Asset Management, such as CHAMP or CSAM.
• ITIL v3 Foundations certification.
