Temporary Instrumentation & Electronics Technician

The temporary UAW Instrumentation & Electronics Technician is primarily responsible for calibration, repair, maintenance and cable build-ups of electronics test instrumentation associated with various vehicle testing facilities at the Stellantis Chelsea Proving Grounds. 

 

This position will provide exposure to a broad range of electronic troubleshooting, repairs, calibrations of transducers and cable/harness builds.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, PLCs, industrial controls and demonstrated troubleshooting skills. Other duties may include general bench work building cable harnesses, circuit assembly, test instrumentation boxes, calibrating various sensors and meters, network/PC troubleshooting and repairs.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

A minimum of associate's degree in electronics engineering/technology or equivalent Some experience in troubleshooting and calibrating instrumentation, sensors, other test equipment Motivated to work both independently and as a part of a team  Flexibility in providing necessary support when required Good communication skills with all levels of colleagues in the organization Basic computer skills with email, Microsoft Office usage etc. Valid Driver's license

 

Preferred qualifications:

Two (2) or more years of experience working in the field of electronics Experience working with PLCs, AC/DC drives, industrial controls, data acquisition boxes/loggers, calibrations of sensors
