Job Overview:
At this time, we are creating a pool of interested candidates to work as temporary strike replacement workers. In the event of a labor strike, confirmed candidates will be extended an offer and hired into this temporary role that will remain active during the strike period only.
We are seeking reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Temporary Grocery Store Associates if a labor strike occurs. In this role, you will help maintain store operations and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Greet customers and assist with locating products. Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately. Bag groceries and assist with carry-outs as needed. Address customer inquiries and escalate issues to supervisors.Stocking & Merchandising
Restock shelves and maintain product displays. Ensure items are properly labeled and priced. Rotate stock and remove expired or damaged items. Cleanliness & Safety Maintain cleanliness of aisles, restrooms, and common areas. Sanitize carts, baskets, and checkout stations. Follow all safety and hygiene protocols.Departmental Support (as assigned)
Assist in Produce, Deli, Bakery, Meat, or Dairy departments. Perform basic food prep, packaging, and stocking duties.Experience and Qualifications*:
Previous retail or grocery experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
