Documents in telemetry logbook. + Continuously observes monitors. + Recognizes and documents normal EKG patterns. Recognizes abnormal patterns and notifies nursing staff promptly. Maintains telemetry printout during cardiac arrest and as indicated. + Maintains monitor alarms per policy. Verifies that monitor alarms are set and audible every shift. Troubleshoots monitors as needed. + Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities. Demonstrates accurate documentation and monitoring of activities as needed. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department. + Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs handwashing according to policy and enforces safety regulations. + Exhibits desire to learn and upgrade skills. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit. + If in a clinical setting or have patient contact, include reference to the age of patients served and how the job functions are performed in relation to the customer/patients age/needs. Qualifications **The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:** + High School Grad or Equiv + One year monitor tech experience Highly Preferred + Or has successfully completed AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent.
