*What you'll do: *
* Responsibility for monitoring patients on cardiac and/or SPO2 (continuous oxygen saturation) via telemetry equipment.
* Monitoring patients when transporting to and from procedures/units.
* Interpreting cardiac rhythms/SPO2 and reports changes to the RN.
* Ability to prioritize notification to the RN based on emergent patient care needs.
* Identifying and maintaining integrity of the telemetry system and reports all malfunctions and needed adjustments.
* Responsibility for printing telemetry strips and documenting per unit standards.
* Responsibility for placing patient on cardiac/SPO2 monitor, change batteries, and set up leads.
* Performing clerical and other duties as requested per unit standard.

*Required Qualifications:*
* Must successfully complete the Scripps Health EKG Examination during interview process
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Completion of formal telemetry training which may include a class or online course OR electrocardiogram (EKG) OR Arrhythmia Certification course OR completion of a Paramedic, Cardio-Vascular, EMT, MD, or RN Program, OR other cardiac related programs
* 6 months of Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred
* Basic Arrhythmia Certification
* EKG certification
* EMT experience
