*This is a benefited, full time position working 12-hour day shifts on varied days. Hours are generally 0630-1900. Rotating holidays and weekends required. Why Scripps Hospital Centralized Services? * Pioneering Innovation:Be part of a trailblazing team in California, the first to remotely monitor a network of hospitals from one centralized location. * *Collaborate with Experts: *Work alongside experienced telemetry technicians, gaining valuable skills and insights in a cutting-edge healthcare environment. * *Make a Difference:* Play a key role in revolutionizing patient care through advanced technology and streamlined systems. *What you'll do: * * Responsibility for monitoring patients on cardiac and/or SPO2 (continuous oxygen saturation) via telemetry equipment. * Monitoring patients when transporting to and from procedures/units. * Interpreting cardiac rhythms/SPO2 and reports changes to the RN. * Ability to prioritize notification to the RN based on emergent patient care needs. * Identifying and maintaining integrity of the telemetry system and reports all malfunctions and needed adjustments. * Responsibility for printing telemetry strips and documenting per unit standards. * Responsibility for placing patient on cardiac/SPO2 monitor, change batteries, and set up leads. * Performing clerical and other duties as requested per unit standard. #LI-DP1 *Required Qualifications:* * Must successfully complete the Scripps Health EKG Examination during interview process *Preferred Qualifications:* * Completion of formal telemetry training which may include a class or online course OR electrocardiogram (EKG) OR Arrhythmia Certification course OR completion of a Paramedic, Cardio-Vascular, EMT, MD, or RN Program, OR other cardiac related programs * 6 months of Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred * Basic Arrhythmia Certification * EKG certification * EMT experience **Job:** **Pt Care Technical* **Organization:** **Scripps Health Corp* **Title:** *Telemetry / Monitoring Tech - Mira Mesa* **Location:** *Central San Diego County-SAN DIEGO-HOSPITAL CENTRALIZED SERVICES* **Requisition ID:** *252003792*
